Big Mac Sliders Recipe (1)

I’ve always loved Big Macs. I think that special Big Mac sauce is what makes them so good! I don’t go to McDonald’s much anymore, but every once and a while I crave a good Big Mac!

After I made our Homemade Copycat Big Macs, I thought I would try to make a fun slider version of one of our favorite burgers.

I think theseHomemade Big Macsactually taste better than the real thing (and are probably a little better for you). I used our copycat Big Mac sauce on these sliders and they were so delicious!

My kids loved that they were eating “mini burgers” for dinner. We served these Big Mac Sliders with some Baked Sweet Potato Fries for an easy, delicious meal that our whole family loved.

How To Make Homemade Big Mac Sliders:

These Big Mac Sliders are easy to make and are full of flavor. The copycat Big Mac sauce on these sliders is spot on!

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Slice rolls horizontally (keeping them connected) and place in the bottom of prepared baking dish; set aside.

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, French dressing, pickle relish, onion, vinegar, sugar and salt to make the special sauce; set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, onion, seasoned salt and pepper. Cook until onions are translucent and beef is browned. Drain excess grease and set aside.

Big Mac Sliders Recipe (3)

Spread half of the special sauce on bottom buns. Spread half the beef and onion mixture on top. Top with sliced cheese.

Big Mac Sliders Recipe (4)

Spread remaining beef and onion mixture on top then spread pickles in an even layer on top.

Big Mac Sliders Recipe (5)

Spread remaining half of special sauce on the inside of the top half of the rolls and place on top of sliders in the pan.

Brush melted butter on top of sliders and sprinkle on sesame seeds.

Big Mac Sliders Recipe (6)

Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is completely melted.

Big Mac Sliders Recipe (7)

Cut into individual sliders and serve.

Actual Big Macs have shredded lettuce on them, so you can add that right before serving if you want.

  1. Jill Savarino says:

When do you use the shredded lettuce on the sliders? Before or after cooking?

  2. Violet says:

After, right before serving. So if you have leftovers also, you can wrap the slider, warm it up again and put lettuce on it after you have warmed it up.

  3. Cyd says:

You add the lettuce after cooking the sliders. Right before serving.

  4. Donna says:

These look great. Please forgive my small criticism, but while certainly delicious, real Mac sauce does not use or taste like French dressing or thousand island as many use. The actual recipe is readily available online. I only say this as the recipe title implies you are going for authenticity.

  5. Evie says:

These were so good. They taste pretty much identical to Big Macs but better. These were so fun to make and everyone LOVED them. I got kinda confused about the lettuce but obviously just added right before serving.

  6. Debbie Buckner says:

I don't see anything on the ingredient list about butter and sesame seeds.

  7. Tara says:

These are amazing! Tastes just like a Big Mac but better! My kids love them and we’ve had them twice this week. My kids want these instead of heading to McDonald’s. So it’s a win-win!

  8. Momma Cyd says:

Tara, Thanks for sharing and we are so glad your family loves the Big Mac Sliders!!

  9. Lisa says:

Does the ground beef stay on the bun? It looks like it would fall out and be hard to eat. They look delish!!

  10. Nancy says:

Can you freeze them. If so what is the oven time and temp?

  11. Momma Cyd says:

I don't recommend freezing these Big Mac Sliders after being prepared. It would be like freezing a hamburger. With the sauce, bun, lettuce, and other ingredients it would be a little soggy when thawed.

  12. Carissa P says:

These tasted amazing! But two lbs of ground beef was soooo much. It fell out the sides and made a huge mess. Next time we’ll just stick with one lb of ground beef. Great flavor and everyone loved them!

  14. Kira says:

I couldn’t find French Dressing. Would Catalina work?

  15. Momma Cyd says:

Yes, Catalina is a good substitute for French dressing.
